a vintage christmas.

this is our last christmas season in our 1920's cottage. there's a sold sign in front of our house and we'll be packing up and moving soon. it's bittersweet. we're leaving one old home for another (even older) home and moving on to quieter pastures where eli has a bit more room to explore, and we can find inspiration for our creative pursuits away from the noise of city buses and football games. it's our first christmas with our little boy, causing us to reflect as well as look with anticipation toward the future.

this year, i thought it would be appropriate to decorate with a nod toward the past. a way of bidding this little house a fond farewell and giving it one last chance to shine before we leave it.

a merry christmas to you and yours...

Everything looks beautiful - a wonderful tribute to that lovely house.
